§ 01 About
A scan-first passport,
built for the SMBs the enterprise PLMs forgot.
Filovera is a Digital Product Passport platform for small and mid-sized textile manufacturers. We started where the EU ESPR ends — at the point where a small brand needs a compliant, scannable passport for every product but can't justify a six-figure PLM.
What we do
Filovera Passport gives every textile product a QR code on its label that resolves to a multilingual, scannable Digital Product Passport. Materials, origin, certifications, repair instructions, recycling pathway — all in one place, on a permanent URL, signed for verification.
We're built on the same scan-first, multi-tenant infrastructure as our sister product Hovermarks Inspection (asset-side compliance), but Filovera is sized and priced for the people the enterprise PLMs (Centric, Bamboo Rose, PTC FlexPLM) skip over: SMB brands and contract manufacturers who need ESPR readiness without an enterprise contract.
Why this exists
The EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) was adopted in 2024 and named textile as one of three priority sectors for the Digital Product Passport requirement. From around 2027, any textile product placed on the EU market — including imports — will need a DPP. That obligation covers UK brands selling into the EU, and the third-country manufacturers that supply them.
Most SMBs in this space are still on spreadsheets and PDFs. The tools designed for them — if any exist — assume a CAD pipeline, a procurement team, and a five-figure annual contract. Filovera starts with a CSV upload and a 14-day free trial.
The company behind Filovera
Filovera is a trading name of BrainBoxIT Limited, a UK software company registered in England and Wales (company number 11703272), with registered office at 6 Range Green, Portsmouth, PO2 8RE.
The same team also builds Hovermarks Inspection — the asset-side equivalent: QR-tagged inspections, LOLER and fire safety templates, signed PDF certificates with public verify URLs. Filovera and Hovermarks share infrastructure (Microsoft Azure UK South, multi-tenant Entra External ID, Stripe billing), but each operates as an independent SaaS subscription with its own sign-in and its own customer support inbox.
When you sign a contract with Filovera you're contracting with BrainBoxIT Limited, trading as Filovera.
How we work
- UK-hosted by default. All production data lives in Microsoft Azure UK South with geo-replicated backups in UK West. We don't move customer data out of the UK without explicit consent.
- Self-serve first. Sign up, upload SKUs, publish your first passport — all without a sales call. Talk to sales when you need help, not because we forced you to.
- No long-term lock-in. Monthly billing, cancel any time. Your data exports as JSON + signed PDFs on the way out.
- Tamper-evident by design. Every passport edit is hash-chained in an append-only audit log. Customers viewing a passport see a verified-history badge. The proof layer is the product, not an add-on.
